Disney Vacations

When it’s time to pack up the kids and head out to a vacation destination, try the classic and always entertaining Disney area. Here, children can revel in the pure, unadulterated excitement of simply being a kid, and adults can be swept back to a time when life was simple and uncomplicated. A vacation to the Disney area is bound to be full of numerous attractions and theme parks that the whole family can enjoy, so get out there and experience the carefree atmosphere of Neverland.

A trip to the Disney area means that the first full day absolutely must be spent at Disney’s Magic Kingdom. This theme park is the showcase of the area with the stunning beauty of Cinderella’s Castle and the well-known Main Street U.S.A. At Disneyworld’s Magic Kingdom, you can enjoy thrilling rides and shows that are sure to delight every child. If you need a break from all the adventure in this theme park, relax while taking in one of the parades or by catching the fireworks as they light up the night sky. Every visitor is sure to forget their troubles when celebrating their vacation alongside Mickey, Minnie, Donald, and all of their friends.

After spending a day touring the Magic Kingdom, a good change of pace for your next adventure would be Disneyworld’s Animal Kingdom. This theme park has less of a fantasy tilt than the other parks and instead highlights the amazing animals that used to and continue to inhabit the planet. There are five areas to the park where you will find a variety of rides and shows: Africa, Asia, Dinoland U.S.A., Discovery Island, and Camp Minnie and Mickey. The center of the park is where the Tree of Life is located, and here you can see 325 animal outlines carved into the tree along with an assortment of animals surrounding the tree. Take the kids to Camp Minnie and Mickey for the excitement of the “Festival of the Lion King,” or journey into the savannah for an African expedition with Kilimanjaro Safaris. With such a wide assortment of activities, every family member will be wearing a smile throughout their Animal Kingdom adventure.

If the allure of the silver screen pulls you in, head over to Disney-MGM Studios for more on the Hollywood classics and the popular movies of today. Learn about your favorite movies and television shows, jump aboard exciting rides such as The Twilight Zone Tower of Terror, or take the kids to the Broadway-style production of the Beauty and the Beast. No matter what your entertainment needs, this park has it covered.

An alternative to MGM Studios, Universal Studios Orlando has rides, shows, and attractions that allow you to further explore your favorite movies and television shows. You can walk through movie sets, experience thrilling rides such as The Revenge of the Mummy, and have a good laugh at the antics of Shrek and Donkey at Shrek 4D. For older kids, the exhilarating rides of Universal’s Islands of Adventure are sure to excite and capture their attention. With some of the most amazing roller coasters on five separate islands, you can live the adventure the entire day.

Disney is clearly an area that is family-oriented, so make your accommodations a family affair. Rather than staying in separate hotel rooms where it can take hours of back and forth before the whole family is ready to venture out, try a Disney vacation rental for your next trip. With all the amenities of home readily available and with everybody in the same general vicinity, getting the entire family ready for a day out at the theme parks is suddenly a much simpler task. To get the most quality time out of your vacation, try a Disney Condo that meets all of your needs and exceeds all of your expectations.

HomeAway.com has the most comprehensive selection of vacation rental homes on the Internet. For an alternative lodging option, look into a Disney vacation rental for your next trip to Florida.
